1. Bring hydration belt.
There were 5 water points with 2.5 km interval. The 1st 2 water points were still full of bottled water, but reaching 3rd and 4th water points – cooler with ice na lang ang natira, as in goodbye water. I saw one auntie took ice and sip it, one guy lie down on the pathway probably by dehydration assisted by marshal. Imagine running for 5 km under the heat of the sun and still unsure if there’s water in the next water point or if there will be another water point. Water points were not in indicated in the route map, unlike other runs. Luckily, there’s convenient stores around the gasoline stations but unlucky for those who did not bring money. On the last water point, there’s still few bottled water and 1.5L H20. Reading the running forum afterwards, I learned that they ran out of disposable cups so the marshal asked people to pass around the bottle basta wag lang daw sasayad sa labi, duh hello naman sa hygiene! Thanks to my hydration belt at di ko na-experience ito.
I only used SPF15, grrrr! I should have used my SPF70 – ang lagkit kasi e! Result lang naman after run is para akong galing sa beach. When I took out my wrist band, shorts and singlet, ayun ang tan (este black) lines sobrang obvious. Or maybe I should have bring and apply while running. I felt my skin was so dry, we finished the run at past 10am talagang super tirik ng araw.
3. Tie shoe lace properly and wear dri-fit socks.
I got blisters and blood clot on toe nail! As in the big toe nails, both feet! I also joined Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 1 week prior MWR, it’s a 5 enjoyable km run. Pero sumakit yung toe ko on left foot because I tied the shoe lace tightly. So as countermeasure, I loosen the lace for MWR and it caused me more pain! I was told that the sock also contributes, so next time I’ll use dri-fit socks instead of cotton socks.
4. Take out the tag from the shorts
After the long run, I took shower from Nanyang Poly. When the water flowed into my body, “Hmmmm bakit kaya ang hapdi ng likod ko?” I did not feel a thing when I was running, pero bakit now ang hapdi? Grrrrrrrrr. I looked into my shorts – its just an ordinary Cotton On shorts – and I was stupidly clueless na that darn tag at the back could cause me so much peklat. Kung ano ang korte nung tag, ganun ang korte ng sugat!
oh well, sana wala ng susunod na katangahan hahah :P
Mga ebidens ewwwwwwwwwww!

ayus... career na talaga ang run. I like. :) di ko kaya yan.
